The marriage contract has not yet been concluded due to the absence of the conditions of offer and acceptance, and because a woman cannot undertake a marriage contract, neither for herself nor for others. The current obligation is to complete the marriage contract through the woman's guardian (wali) or his male representative, and for the suitor or his male representative to undertake the acceptance.
