Is it permissible to supplicate for a woman when she is being buried, "O Allah, grant her a husband better than her [earthly] husband," or is this exclusive to men?

Scholars have differed regarding the permissibility of supplicating for a deceased woman with "exchange for her a husband better than her husband." There are two opinions:

The first opinion: It is not permissible for a woman, because in the Afterlife, she will be with her husband from this world, unlike a man who can have multiple wives.

The second opinion: It is permissible to make this supplication for both men and women alike. The intended meaning of "exchange" here is "exchanging attributes, not beings," meaning the supplication is for Allah to change the character and attributes of her husband for the better and more perfect, not for her to marry another.

This supplication is said during the funeral prayer after the third takbir, not at the time of burial, as what is authentically reported at burial is seeking forgiveness for the deceased and asking for steadfastness for them.
