What is the virtue of sacrificing for Allah, and what is the ruling on people sacrificing when harm befalls them or when they hope for good? Is sacrificing superior to other acts of worship because it is linked to Tawhid (monotheism)? And why was it coupled with prayer in His saying, the Almighty: (So pray to your Lord and sacrifice)?

Slaughtering for Allah Almighty is one of the best financial acts of worship, because it combines obedience with the spending of money, which is beloved to the soul. Allah has conjoined prayer and slaughter in the Qur'an, because prayer is the best physical act of worship and slaughter is the best financial act of worship, and they are among the greatest means of drawing near to Allah. It is stipulated that this should not be accompanied by a corrupt belief.
