What is the ruling on a husband having conjugal relations with his wife if he repents from blaspheming the Divine Essence before the completion of her iddah (waiting period)? And does the ruling of annulling the marriage contract apply to one who suffers from obsessive-compulsive thoughts related to blaspheming the Divine Essence?

If a person is assailed by whispers (waswas) that they cannot control, they are not held accountable for them and do not become disbelievers because of them. Their dislike and aversion to these whispers are a sign of the soundness of their belief. The Companions of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, once asked him about whispers they found within themselves, and the Prophet replied, "That is pure faith." Imam An-Nawawi explained this by stating that the magnification of these whispers and the intense fear of them are evidence of the completeness of faith. Sheikh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah clarified that disliking whispers and repelling them from the heart is from pure faith and is the greatest form of striving (jihad).

Based on this, the marital relationship remains valid, and one should not pay attention to whispers in this regard. Furthermore, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) can be treated, and one should strive to do so.
