What is the ruling on one who curses the act of Wudu in a moment of anger before realizing that it is a matter of religion? Does he disbelieve by that, and what is required of him if he disbelieves?

Ablution (Wudu') is an Islamic ritual of great virtue. Whoever curses it, intentionally targeting the ritual itself, has committed an act of disbelief (kufr) and must offer sincere repentance. However, if one intended something else unrelated to ablution, then they have not committed an act of disbelief. Nevertheless, one must be wary of slips of the tongue and guard it, and control oneself when angry.
