The name "Al-Jabbar" (The Compeller/The Omnipotent) has three meanings: 1. Jabr al-Quwwah (Compelling Power): He Subhanahu (Glorified is He) subjugates the tyrants and overcomes them. 2. Jabr ar-Rahmah (Compelling Mercy/Mending): He mends the weak, the broken, and those whose hearts are shattered. 3. Jabr al-'Uluww (Compelling Exaltation): He is above His creation, exalted over them, yet close to them, hearing, seeing, and knowing.

Ibn al-Qayyim, in his Nuniyyah, mentioned the meanings of Al-Jabbar: mending the weak, compelling power, and exaltation.
