What is the ruling of Islamic law regarding treatment with bee stings?

It is permissible to seek treatment with bee stings if there is a necessity for it, and if safety is the predominant outcome and its benefit is hoped for, just like other medicines. This must be under the supervision of a doctor or specialist. However, it is not permissible for those who are allergic to bee venom, or for whom the venom they consume is predominantly fatal or causes madness.
