If the line opens due to a technical error at the company and not with its consent, it is not permissible to exploit the extension of calls, as this constitutes an infringement on the rights of others and consuming people's wealth unlawfully. However, if the company condones this, then there is no harm in exploiting it. The sanctity of wealth does not differentiate between the wealth of a Muslim and the wealth of a non-belligerent disbeliever.
