If the advised person does not accept the advice, then his advice is not binding, especially if you fear harm. Ibn Battal said: "Advice is obligatory according to one's capacity, if the advisor knows that his advice will be accepted and his command obeyed, and he is safe from harm. But if he fears harm, then he is excused from it." However, this does not prevent re-advising him through another means, while observing the etiquette of giving advice.
