Is shisha (hookah) forbidden due to the claim that it causes intoxication, based on the evidence that it causes dizziness?
It is forbidden to smoke shisha and all types of tobacco due to the harm they inflict upon oneself and one's wealth, and because they cause deadly diseases. The one who consumes them is considered unjust to himself and to those around him, and is an agent in killing the soul which Allah has forbidden to kill except by right. Allah, the Almighty, says: "And do not kill yourselves. Indeed, Allah is ever Merciful to you. And whoever does that in aggression and injustice – then We will drive him into a Fire. And that, for Allah, is [always] easy."
