How many times did the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) offer a sacrifice?

The narration about the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, residing in Madinah for ten years and sacrificing every year (narrated by At-Tirmidhi) is weak in its chain of transmission due to Hajjaj ibn Artah, who was a mudallis (one who practices tadlis - obscuring defects in a chain of narration).

However, his guidance, peace and blessings be upon him, indicates his keenness on the Udhiyah (definition) (sacrifice). He sacrificed even while traveling, which proves the legality of Udhiyah for both the traveler and the resident. His keenness is also indicated by the hadith (definition): "Whoever has the means but does not sacrifice, let him not approach our musalla (prayer place)," and the hadith: "O people, for every household, there is a sacrifice every year."

The scholars have explicitly stated that he used to sacrifice every year. He sacrificed nine times before the Farewell Pilgrimage, and during the Farewell Pilgrimage, he offered a hadi (sacrificial animal for Hajj or Umrah (definition)) but did not offer an Udhiyah.
