What is the meaning of "gardens beneath which rivers flow"?

In the Arabic language, "Jannat" (Gardens) refers to orchards that conceal what is within them. The intended meaning here is the Paradise that Allah has prepared as an eternal abode for His beloved ones, and it encompasses many gardens. As for "Anhar" (Rivers), they are wide water channels or flowing waters that run beneath the dwellings and trees of the people of Paradise.
