What is the legal ruling on fractional ownership contracts for a property purchased for a specific, inheritable time period, with maintenance and cleaning expenses paid in installments?

If a property is purchased in installments and the co-owners benefit from it through temporal alternation (muhayat zamania), whereby they take turns living in it or renting it out, this is permissible in principle. Evidence for the permissibility of temporal alternation is found in the Almighty's saying: "And inform them that the water is to be shared between them; each party will have its turn to drink" (Quran 54:28), and His saying: "He said, 'This is a she-camel; she has her turn to drink, and you have your turn to drink on a known day'" (Quran 26:155). Sheikh Al-Islam (Ibn Taymiyyah) mentioned that co-owners of a property may alternate its use by place or by time, and they may also rent it out. However, certain legitimate conditions must be met for the permissibility of purchasing in installments and using the property for tourist rentals.
