We are not aware of any from Sheikh Al-Islam concerning the drinking of alcohol, nor do we believe that such a statement could be attributed to him. However, it is known that he once passed by a group of Tatars who were drinking alcohol and said to his companions: "Leave them. When these people are drunk, people are safe from their evil, but when they are sober, they cause corruption."
