Will Iblis enter the Fire, and how will he be tormented when he is created from fire?

First: There is no doubt that Iblis will enter Hell and abide therein eternally. Allah the Almighty has mentioned this in several verses, including His saying: "I will surely fill Hell with you all," and His saying: "And indeed, Hell is the promised abode for them all."

Second: As for how Iblis will be tormented in Hell when he is created from fire, the answer is that what is created from fire is not necessarily fire now, just as humans are created from dust and are not dust now. Jinn were created by Allah from fire, but they are not fire in their current form, as indicated by prophetic traditions such as the Prophet's feeling the coldness of the devil's tongue, and the devil flowing through a human like blood; if he were fire, the human would be burned. Even if the devil were fire, Allah is capable of tormenting him with the fire of Hell.
