Is it permissible for me to wait for the girl who secretly embraced Islam in order to marry her, knowing that there was a previous physical relationship between us, and that my friends wish for this relationship to end?
If a woman embraces Islam and remains steadfast in her faith, repenting from relationships, then there is no impediment to marrying her. For the one who repents from sin is like one who has no sin. However, if she continues to be involved in a relationship with a non- man, then it is not permissible to marry her. You must repent and distance yourself from haram relationships, and be keen to marry a righteous woman, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "So win the one with religion, your hands will be soiled." And know that gender mixing in universities is an evil that opens doors to corruption. If there is a necessity to study in mixed environments, then the rulings and etiquettes of must be observed. We warn against the danger of neglecting to obey Allah Almighty's commands and violating His prohibitions.
