Is it permissible to delay the official registration of divorce in court for two months, taking into consideration the wife's circumstances?

Divorce takes effect the moment the husband pronounces it, and it does not depend on its documentation in court. The waiting period (iddah) begins from the moment of its pronouncement. If the waiting period ends before the husband takes her back, she becomes irrevocably divorced from him. He can only take her back with a new contract if it was a minor irrevocable divorce (baynunah sughra).
