Why is there no equality among people in talents, abilities, and sustenance, while the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "That is the grace of Allah, which He bestows upon whom He wills," and the noble verses indicate that Allah has "preferred some of you over others in provision" and "raised some of them above others in ranks"?

Allah's preference for some of His creation and the varying distribution of His bounties are a consequence of His wisdom. Allah is All-Wise, placing things in their rightful positions, and He is not to be questioned concerning what He does. Human intellects are limited in comprehending the full secrets of His wisdom. Entertaining ill thoughts about Allah and accusing His decree are acts of the pre-Islamic era of ignorance (Jahiliyyah). Therefore, every believer must submit to Allah's decree and be content with His management. If Allah gives, it is out of grace, and if He withholds, it is out of justice. It is incumbent upon servants to act in accordance with their servitude and draw closer to Allah to the best of their ability.
