Is it permissible to give charity on behalf of a Christian or a person of the Book who has been wronged and for whom an apology is not feasible?

Injustice is forbidden. Whoever commits an act of injustice must repent sincerely to Allah the Almighty. If the injustice involved the property of a Christian, the money must be returned to him, or to his heirs if he has passed away. It is not permissible to give the money in charity on his behalf, because charity given on behalf of a disbeliever is not valid and its reward does not reach him, unlike a Muslim, to whom the reward of charity and similar acts reaches. If the injustice was related to a Christian's honor, then one must seek his forgiveness and ask him to pardon. If he is unaware of the injustice, it is preferable to seek his forgiveness generally without mentioning the details of the specific injustice.
