What is the meaning of "Al-Maisir, Al-Ansab, Al-Azlam, and Rijs" mentioned in verse 90 of Surat Al-Ma'idah: "O you who have believed, indeed, intoxicants, gambling, [sacrificing on] stone altars [to other than Allah ], and divining arrows are but defilement from the work of Satan, so avoid it that you may be successful"?

Al-Baghawi said: Al- (gambling) is qimar (betting), al-ansab (dedicatory stones) are the erected idols, and al-azlam (divining arrows) are the arrows with which they sought to divine. Al-rijs (abomination) is something foul and repulsive. Al-Tabari said: Al-Maysir is gambling, al-ansab are stones near which they slaughtered their sacrifices, and al-azlam are arrows with which they sought to divine. Al-Qurtubi and Al-Shawkani said: Al-ansab are idols, and al-rijs is a sin, or wrath, or evil.
