Should a girl wear the niqab without her mother's approval, or should she await her approval, and how can she bear the consequences of her mother's disapproval if she wears it?

We advise striving to convince the mother to wear the niqab, or to seek mediation from relatives or righteous individuals who can speak to her about it, while seeking Allah's help and frequently remembering and supplicating Him. If the mother insists on refusing and threatens punishment, then there is no blame in waiting until the mother is pleased and no harm occurs.
