What is the meaning of the Almighty’s saying: "The fornicator does not marry except a [female] fornicator or polytheist, and none marries a [female] fornicator except a fornicator or polytheist"? And must what a married person did in his past happen to him with his wife due to his previous sins?

The meaning of the noble verse has been clarified in Fatwa no. 32593. You must offer sincere repentance to Allah Almighty for falling into destructive sins and violating Allah's sacred limits. To understand the conditions of sincere repentance, please refer to Fatwa no. 32521.

There is no harm in marrying your maternal aunt's daughter if you repent to Allah for what has passed. You should not think ill of her, as there are many chaste women, and "no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another." What has been attributed to some scholars regarding this is based on weak or fabricated narrations, as explained in Fatawa no. 68244 and 40608.

If you marry her, you do not have the right to be absent from her without her permission and consent, except in compelling circumstances, as explained in Fatwa no. 41537.

The advice is that you should not be absent from her for that period or longer, even if she consents, due to the risk of exposing both of you to what is unlawful. It is better to take her with you to where you reside, or to seek employment where she resides. "And whoever fears Allah – He will make for him a way out and will provide for him from where he does not expect."
