What is the ruling on one who has anal intercourse with his wife while using a condom, such that none of his semen reaches her?

Anal intercourse is a grave, forbidden major sin. It is prohibited even with a barrier and even if ejaculation does not occur, for the crux of the matter is penetration and insertion. The فقهاء (jurists) have explicitly stated its prohibition, even with a barrier, and there is no difference in this regard. The wife is not permitted to obey her husband in this matter, and if he insists, she has the right to seek divorce. Both of them must repent and seek forgiveness. Furthermore, they are subject to discretionary punishment if they commit this act together, and they shall be separated if they do not desist.
