Has the Shafi'i school of thought permitted selling manufactured gold (such as a ring, necklace, or bracelet) on credit, considering it a commodity?

In the Shafi'i school of thought, it is impermissible to sell manufactured gold on credit for cash, due to the presence of the illah (legal cause) of Riba, which is its monetary value. This is the view of the majority of jurists. The illah of Riba in gold and silver is predominantly their nature as currency, and the value of craftsmanship has no bearing on this.
