What should I do, as I have come to hate my job because my request for early retirement was not granted, even though I prayed Istikhara and my affairs were not facilitated? Should I resign, or should I be patient for the government's retirement administration to be merged with the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, due to the advantages that would entail?

The fundamental principle regarding a woman's work is that it should be within her home, raising her children, as Allah Almighty says: "And abide in your houses." Nevertheless, it is permissible for a woman to go out to work provided she adheres to the hijab (definition), maintains modesty, and avoids mixing with men. However, it is better for her to abstain from working if she is not in need of it. As for the Istikhara prayer, its purpose is not to reach a specific answer, but rather to facilitate good and avert evil. So, once you have prayed it, put your trust in Allah and proceed with what your heart feels at ease with.
