Is swimming permissible for a fasting person when the temperature rises, and is it considered one of the things that break the fast?

Swimming for a fasting person is permissible according to the majority of scholars. It is like ghusl (ritual bathing), for which Al-Bukhari dedicated a chapter in his Sahih, mentioning narrations that indicate its permissibility.

However, a fasting swimmer must be careful to prevent water from reaching his stomach. If he knows or strongly believes that it is impossible to prevent this, then swimming is not permissible for him, as it exposes his fast to invalidation.

Ibn 'Uthaymeen mentioned that swimming invigorates a fasting person and lightens the act of worship for him. This aligns with the words of Allah the Almighty: (Allah intends for you ease and does not intend for you hardship).
