What is the ruling on loving Ash'ari scholars, and will a person be resurrected with them if their love for them is religious?

The questioner's love for these scholars is not because of their opposition to the Sunnah and their agreement with the Ash'aris, but because of their merit, their dissemination of knowledge, and their virtuousness. This is a love through which we draw closer to Allah Almighty, and we consider it among righteous deeds, while excusing them for their mistakes.
