Is it permissible to take from the money and food of someone who abandons prayer, and does he inherit despite his disbelief?

Scholars have not unanimously agreed on the absolute disbelief (kufr) of one who abandons prayer. Rather, they have agreed on the disbelief of one who abandons it out of denial (juhud), and they differed concerning one who abandons it out of laziness and negligence.

It is permissible to eat from the food of one who abandons prayer and to benefit from their wealth, even according to the view that deems them a disbeliever.

The inheritance of one who abandons prayer is based on the ruling of their Islam. If they are ruled to be a disbeliever, then they do not inherit, based on the saying of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "A Muslim does not inherit from a disbeliever, nor does a disbeliever inherit from a Muslim."

It is obligatory to advise one who abandons prayer and to explain the danger of their action to them.
