Is a mother accountable if she gives one of her children a sum of money but does not give the others, and what should the son do with this money once it is available to him?

It is not permissible for a parent to give a gift to some of their children to the exclusion of others, or to favor some over others in gift-giving, without a valid reason. The questioner must return the money his mother gave him and try to convince her that giving gifts to some children without a valid reason is not permissible; the Prophet called it an injustice. If she does not agree, he must divide the amount equally between himself and his siblings, unless they relinquish their share to him.
