Obsessive thoughts (waswas) are among the most dangerous ailments, and their cure lies in ignoring them and not paying them any attention. Saying "Bismillah" (in the name of Allah) before wudu' (ablution) is a sunnah (prophetic tradition); if you omit it, your wudu' and prayer are still valid. Your repeating of the "Bismillah" does not affect the validity of your fast. Do not make up any of the days about which you had obsessive thoughts regarding your fasting. If you swore an oath or made a vow and then broke it under the influence of obsessive thoughts, there is nothing upon you. Do not pay attention to the devil's obsessive whispers concerning faith.
