Is the wife still under the authority of her husband after the dispute that occurred in the presence of her uncle, during which he uttered the words of annulment, فسخ (فسخ: dissolution of marriage), or divorce? Does a divorce that takes place over the phone count? What is the ruling on a woman attending weddings without her husband's knowledge? What is the ruling on one who issues fatwas to people without knowledge? And what is the ruling on one who incites a wife against her husband?

The khul' (divorce by mutual consent) occurred validly, and your wife is irrevocably divorced from you. You do not have the right to take her back except through a new marriage contract. Your subsequent pronouncement of divorce upon her after the khul' is null and void and does not take effect, because a woman who has undergone khul' cannot be divorced again [by the former husband]. Such matters should be presented to the Sharia (definition) court or to trustworthy scholars. It is not permissible for a wife to leave her home without her husband's permission. Inciting a wife against her husband is a major sin and a great evil. No one is permitted to issue fatwas (religious edicts) to people without knowledge.
