The scholars frequently use many names for the Day of Resurrection, reaching about eighty or one hundred names, inferring them from its events, descriptions, and conditions mentioned in the Quran and Sunnah. The purpose of this multiplicity of names is to indicate the greatness of this Day and its terrors, and these appellations call for belief in it and preparation for it.
