Do souls get married?

The souls of people are in harmony and find comfort in one another. This is indicated by the Hadith: "Souls are like conscripted soldiers; those among them who recognize one another, unite, and those who do not recognize one another, diverge." Al-Khattabi explains this by saying that souls recognize each other based on the natures they were created upon, whether good or evil. There are incidents from the early Muslims that support this meaning, among them the meeting of Salman al-Farisi with Al-Harith ibn Umayrah.
