What must a person who published an audio Qur’an containing errors do, and is he sinful for playing it after becoming aware of the errors?

1 min readAlso available in العربية

We hope that there is no sin upon one who downloaded the Mus'haf (Quran) and did not intentionally spread error, due to the predominance of the assumption that the recordings were correct, and assumption takes the place of certainty when certainty is unattainable.

It must be noted that the absence of surahs (chapters) is not considered an error in itself. However, if an error is confirmed in some surahs, it must be corrected by deleting the error and re-recording it correctly.

It is advisable to notify the brothers to whom copies of the Mus'haf were recorded, if they can be identified, as a form of sincere advice.
