Is it permissible to publish the Quran without ensuring it is free of errors, and is the reciter sinful if errors are found during his recitation?

The Shari'ah encourages the veneration of Allah's sacred things and rituals. Scholars have prohibited deviating from the Uthmani script of the Mus'haf. It is reported that Imam Malik disliked writing the Mus'haf according to modern spelling, preferring it to be written in its original script. He also disliked placing colored markers for parts (ajza') and tenths (a'shar) in the mother Mus'haf, though he permitted it for Mus'hafs used in teaching young boys. It is narrated that Imam Ahmad prohibited deviating from the script of Uthman's Mus'haf, and the consensus of the four Imams on the obligation of following the Uthmani script has been reported.

Based on this, it is not permissible to publish the Qur'an with the possibility of errors in it, whether written or recited. Its accuracy must be verified before publication.
