What is the ruling on a foundling marrying, and is it a condition that the girl also be a foundling?

A foundling is a child abandoned in the streets, whose father is unknown. If found in the abode of Islam (Dar al-Islam) or a country predominantly Muslim, he is a free Muslim in all his rulings, because he is Muslim by virtue of the land, and free because the default status for human beings is freedom. Therefore, all his actions and contracts are subject to the same rulings as those of other free Muslims, including his marriage and divorce. The condition that he must marry a foundling like himself is incorrect.
