Is it permissible for a father to kiss his daughter's hand and shoulder?
It is permissible for a man to kiss his son or daughter, whether male or female, out of affection and mercy. It has been authentically reported that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, kissed Fatimah, Al-Hasan, Al-Hussein, and Ja'far. There is no harm in kissing the hand, shoulder, forehead, or cheek, provided that there is no fear of temptation (fitnah). However, kissing is forbidden if there is a risk of temptation. Anyone who finds pleasure in such a kiss must refrain from it. It is obligatory to avoid kissing the mouth, as it is a place suspected of arousing desire.
