Is it permissible for me to be the guardian (wali) of a Muslim woman residing in America, who recently converted to Islam and has no guardian, knowing that I do not reside in her country and it is difficult for her to contact the Islamic centers there?

The sister should be helped to reach a reliable Islamic center to appoint a just Muslim man as her representative to perform her marriage. She should also be advised to learn the matters of her religion and be connected with a righteous environment. Moreover, whoever marries her must fear Allah concerning her, treat her kindly, and demonstrate Islamic morals so that she remains steadfast; otherwise, he might be a cause for her apostasy from Islam.
