Is sitting in the mosque or sitting with one's parents at home more rewarding?

Filial piety and serving one’s parents take precedence over sitting in the mosque for reasons other than awaiting prayer, because it is an obligation. However, if there is no need to serve one’s parents, then sitting in the mosque for worship is better, especially for awaiting prayer, due to the virtues mentioned regarding it, such as the angels supplicating for those who await prayer. No specific virtue has been authentically reported in the Sunnah for merely sitting with one's parents, as has been reported for the virtue of sitting in the mosque, even though some weak hadiths state that looking at one's parents is an act of worship.
