Which verses speak about fear of Allah and hope in Him?
The fear of Allah is a great act of worship and an obligation, mentioned in many verses that praise those who possess it and describe the prophets as fearful. For more details, one can refer to the Concordance of the Holy Qur'an (under the roots: Khawf - Khashya - Rahab - Wajal) and Madarij al-Salikin by Ibn al-Qayyim. Verses of hope are also numerous, including the Almighty's saying: (Say, "O My servants who have transgressed against themselves [by sinning], do not despair of the mercy of Allah") and His saying: (Except for those who repent, believe and do righteous deeds; for them Allah will change their evil deeds into good ones).
