rulings are based on wisdom and justice, and among them is the condition of the guardian's consent for a woman's marriage, as he is more capable of evaluating men. Nevertheless, it is not permissible for a father to force his daughter to marry someone she does not desire, nor is it permissible for him to prevent her from marrying a suitable man. A father is permitted to reject a married suitor, even if he is capable of being just, and there is no sin upon him for doing so. A woman must adhere to the rulings of Sharia, and it is not permissible for her to marry without a guardian, as this is a void marriage.
