It is permissible to sell a book upon which your name or anything indicating you is not written, nor the name of a known author, and you do not mislead people into believing that it is by you, provided that it contains benefit.

However, it is forbidden for a person to put their name on a book they did not author, as this is a form of falsehood, based on the saying of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "The one who pretends to have been given what he has not been given is like one who wears two garments of falsehood."

It is also forbidden to put the name of a known author or to create the impression that the book is by them, due to the deception involved, based on the saying of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him: "He who deceives is not from me."

Similarly, it is forbidden to put a title or description for the author that does not conform to reality with the intention of deceiving people, due to the lying, deception, and misleading of buyers involved.
