Is it permissible to download non-free foreign courses from pirated websites and publish them on Arab forums and pages with the intention of spreading education, given the unavailability of money to purchase them, and that the course owners have authorized their download from pirated websites?

Contemporary scholars have differed regarding the recognition of copyright and intellectual property rights. However, the fatwa (definition) we adhere to is their absolute recognition. Therefore, it is impermissible to download materials from pirated websites, whether for commercial purposes or otherwise. Nevertheless, some scholars have permitted students of knowledge, who find it difficult to obtain original copies, to copy them for personal use and benefit, although abstaining from this is more cautious.
