What actions dispel a wird? Do these include excessive crying, fear, panic, and sins, whether minor or major? And does saying "I seek refuge for you with the perfect words of Allah from every devil and every harmful creature and every evil eye" protect the speaker and his family from its evil, especially when afflicted with obsessive-compulsive disorder regarding envy?

If "wird" (daily litany) refers to acts of worship and remembrance, then apostasy invalidates them, based on the Almighty's saying: "And whoever of you reverts from his religion and dies while he is a disbeliever - for those, their deeds have become worthless." (Quran 2:217). As for sins, some of them affect good deeds, such as abandoning the 'Asr prayer, consulting diviners, and reminding others of one's charity. However, weeping and fear out of awe of Allah do not have a negative impact; rather, they are among the qualities of the seven groups whom Allah will shade. The cure for obsessive whispers (waswas) is to disregard them, occupy one's time with what is beneficial, and increase in remembrance (dhikr) and supplication (du'a). To cure envy of oneself and one's family, one should say: "Masha'Allah, la quwwata illa billah" (What Allah wills, there is no strength except in Allah), supplicate for blessings, and ask Allah for well-being, while maintaining the obligatory duties.
