This matter was mentioned by the Maliki jurists as one of the special characteristics of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. Khalil said in his Mukhtasar: "And the divorce of his desired woman." Al-Dardir explained this by stating that the Prophet was uniquely obligated to divorce a woman he desired if such a situation were to occur, though it never did.
