What is the ruling on the circulating riddles that suggest blasphemous phrases, such as "I am greater than Allah" (meaning, greater by seeking aid from Allah), and "I hate the truth" (meaning, death), and "I possess what Allah does not possess" (meaning, a female companion or a wife)?

It is impermissible to use such riddles due to their ugliness and repulsiveness. However, they do not reach the level of disbelief (kufr) if the speaker evokes the appropriate meaning during their speech. Al-Alusi mentioned that scholars found such statements abhorrent due to their apparent ugliness. Nevertheless, the speaker does not become a disbeliever by this intention, but rather should be disciplined (ta'zir) so that they do not repeat such actions. Sheikh Ibn Baz, may Allah have mercy on him, also found such ugly insinuations abhorrent.
