Is it permissible to play electronic games that contain sins while attempting to avoid them, and is my obtaining a good weapon randomly after killing the villain in it considered gambling, given that I only paid the price of the game?

Avoiding sins in electronic games may lift their prohibition, and this is not an analysis of what Allah has forbidden. If the opportunity to obtain good weapons is merely playing online and not something real, then it is not considered gambling. However, if it is linked to an entity that sells games and gives tangible items upon winning, then the preponderant opinion is that it is gambling.
