Can the attributes of pride and arrogance be ascribed to Allah, the Almighty?

It is not narrated that Allah is described with pride (fakhr) and arrogance (khuyala'), but rather He is described with greatness ('azamah), might (jabarut), and majesty (kibriya'), and that He loves praise (madhah). Greatness is affirmed by texts such as: ﴿And He is the Most High, the Most Great﴾ [2:255]. Might (jabarut) is affirmed by His description as Al-Jabbar (the Compeller), and in the Prophet's supplication, may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him: "Glorified be the Possessor of Might (Jabarut)." Ibn Qutaybah interpreted Jabarut as self-exaltation. Al-Harras elaborated on the meanings of Al-Jabbar as mending the weakness of His servants, His subjugation of everything, and His transcendence above His creation. Majesty (kibriya') is affirmed by the verse: ﴿And to Him belongs all majesty (kibriya') in the heavens and the earth﴾ [45:37], and the Qudsi Hadith: "Majesty is My cloak." Allah's love for praise is affirmed by the Prophet's saying, may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him: "No one loves praise more than Allah."
