Whoever is entrusted with booking travel tickets is an agent (wakīl), and the original principle is that whatever the agent earns belongs to his principal (muwakkil). Based on the of Urwah ibn al-Ja'd, the points that are converted into money as a result of the booking belong to the company and the employees.
It is permissible to agree that these points be considered as a compensation for the booking if their number is known and their monetary value is specified.
