What is the reward for providing a fasting person with iftar?

Feeding a fasting person carries immense reward, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever feeds a fasting person will have a reward like theirs, without anything being diminished from the reward of the fasting person." What is meant by feeding them is satisfying their hunger. The righteous predecessors were keen on providing food and considered it among the best acts of worship. This practice fosters affection and love, and leads to sitting with the righteous.
